Recently ASOS set me the challenge of styling an outfit for a Spring escape. Whether it be a weekend away, a day of exploring, or a celebration of some kind, I had to choose up to four items to create my look.

I decided to challenge myself a little and choose items I would not normally wear. For instance, I never ever wear hats. I always find them hard to wear depending on weather conditions and the dreaded hat hair! But I've always been jealous of girls that can pull the hat accessory off so I gave this fedora a go. Surprisingly the hat stayed on during windy times, wandering along Portobello Road. We visited there yesterday for it's famous market. The streets were heaving with tourists, including ourselves. We enjoyed scrumptious pastries from one of many street food stalls. If money was no option (and my stomach would stretch), I would've chosen one of everything from every vendor!
After purchasing a couple of doughnuts (the size of my head!!), we passed these candy coloured houses and I just had to stop for a photo opportunity. Although we've been living in London for two weeks now, yesterday was our first chance to explore. So after Portobello Road we kept walking towards Kensington Palace Gardens and strolled around the beautiful tulips and fountains before the weather turned cold. So much for Spring, it soon felt like Autumn. Thankfully this River Island cape/scarf is super snuggly and kept me warm. See a better photo of what it looks like when opened out here. Also from ASOS is this lovely stripe shift dress which is a great fit and made from a really comfy thick cotton. Plus who doesn't love a good sized back pack, especially when it's in tan? Shop more ASOS bags here.

To continue our weekend of exploring this incredible city, we're off to the Natural History Museum today! Have you been before? What are you up to this weekend?Take a look at my Instagram for more photos from my weekend including Portobello Road, Kensington Palace Gardens and Smack Lobster.
