Lifestyle | Sydney's 360 Degree Sky Tower Bar & Dining Experience

Sydney Sky Tower, 360 Bar and Dining, Sydney's revolving restaurant

For the last ten days I've had my parents here in Sydney visiting us which has been incredible in itself. Every day we've been exploring the city and it's surrounding suburbs as a family, dining out every evening and generally having the best time ever! I think I must've put on a stone in weight with all the delicious food we've tried, although in actual fact I'm sure I've burnt all the extra calories off with the many many many miles we've walked.
Last year when Stew and I holidayed in Sydney we treated ourselves to a 2 course lunch at the top of Sydney's Sky Tower in a revolving restaurant offering stunning views of the city, called 360 Bar and Dining. It was such a fun experience I knew my parents would love it so we headed up for lunch with them.

We each chose to eat the braised pork that came with a generous slab of crackling on top. Alongside it sat a poached pear on top of celeriac puree and jus. The food was and still is fantastic. The flavours are amazing, it's fine dining at it's best. And 2 courses at lunch time with a glass of wine will only set you back $55. Not too shabby considering the quality of view and the breathtaking setting.

My parents loved it so much that they very kindly decided to take us up again but this time at sunset and for dinner instead of lunch. It was their last night in Sydney and it was the perfect way to end a perfect holiday. Sunset is around 5.50pm here at the moment so we got up to the bar at around 5.30pm to enjoy a glass of wine before dinner. The sunset was beautiful and because the restaurant revolves you get to see every angle of the city. It's really spectacular! I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Sydney.

As you can imagine evening dinner and at a weekend is going to cost the most out of all the set dinner options. 2 courses goes up to $85 and 3 courses is $95. As it was their last night with us we went all out and opted for 3 courses. Also in the evening you don't get to enjoy a free glass of wine unfortunately. But we didn't mind, and instead managed to drink our way through 2 bottles of white and still have room for coffee after dessert.

What's really lovely is that there is no rush whilst you're dining. They never fill the restaurant all at once, tables are staggered and it's very rarely fully booked. This means we could take our time and soak up the views for as long as we liked... 3.5 hours in fact!! We had no idea we'd been there so long, time flew by!

This time I opted for the pumpkin and ricotta ravioli with grilled prawn, chilli, ginger and coriander for starter. We all chose the roasted rack of lamb with potato and smoked mozzarella croquette and peas 3 ways. And then for dessert Stew and I shared the 360 snickers semifreddo with milk chocolate flake (pictured below) and a cheese board. I'm still full from it all now, 2 days later!!
