Palm Vaults, Hackney

Palm VaultsA couple of weekends ago, I caught the bus to Hackney to meet my friend Chloe for brunch. We decided to book a table at Palm Vaults, a cafe I have been dying to visit ever since I first spotted it last summer.I’m sure you’ve all already heard of this joint, but in case on the off chance you haven’t, it’s a blogger and instagrammers dream. Think pastel pink and mint green interiors, exposed brick work, gold lighting, foliage hanging from the ceiling and the most beautiful pink leather arm chairs. It really is winning on all levels when it comes to decor!Palm Vaults HackneyLavender latteEqually as beautiful are the food and drinks that Palm Vaults serve up. Here you will find pastel coloured lattes, pink yogurt bowls, edible flowers and multicoloured smoothies. Every dish has been expertly made to look just as beautiful as it tastes. This is the one cafe where I’ve felt fully comfortable standing up and taking a flat lay of our table!Palm Vaults, Sweet Monday BlogPalm Vaults CakePalm Vaults decorAfter much chatter about the menu, and frequently scanning the Palm Vaults Instagram page, we eventually made our choices. Chloe opted for the yogurt and granola bowl, with a rose latte and I chose the Purple Rain tonic latte. The different being that Chloe’s had coffee in and mine didn’t. The pastel coloured lattes don’t have coffee in and they also do a pink beetroot, a yellow turmeric, a blue algae and a dark activated charcoal. This purple creation is made with freshly juiced purple carrots. So pretty!Palm Vaults toasted banana breadPalm Vaults granola yogurt bowlPalm VaultsI had the toasted banana bread to eat, which was topped with a gloriously pink yogurt, blueberries and blackberries, plus a dusting of icing sugar - so good! With each of us spending just £10, it was a pretty cheap brunch too. If you find yourself in Hackney, I’d definitely recommend it, but be sure to book ahead as it can get very busy.Palm Vaults: 5/5

  • It lived up to all the hype and more!
  • Book a table in advance
  • Order a latte (or two!) - it’s a must
  • Leave room for one of the beautiful doughnuts, or a slice of cake, on display at the counter.
