Flowers Direct bouquet

Nothing brightens a Saturday morning more than a delivery of blooming buds, and that’s exactly what this beautiful bouquet of white roses and lilac freesias from Flowers Direct did for me last weekend. As I was slowly waking up, making a cup of black coffee, the postman knocked on the door holding a large box of flowers for me. After wishing him a good day, I immediately forgot about the coffee and began unravelling the packaging.

Not being the most creative at flower arranging, I snipped a couple of inches of the stems and filled a vase with water. No sooner had I placed the bunch of flowers in the vase, did I regret my decision and choose a carafe instead to house the roses and freesias. I always find choosing a vase the hardest part of receiving flowers. Perhaps I don’t own the perfect shaped vase, I don’t know. Or perhaps I own too many options for vases. How do you choose yours and how do you arrange your flowers?

Flowers Direct offer a variety of different bouquets in a number of sizes, allowing you to personalise your preference and add additional gifts if they are for a special occasion or loved one.

One thing I will point out is that the freesias I received are a slightly deeper purple colour than the lilac ones pictured on site. However, purple is one of my favourite colours and so I would be happy with any shade of purple. Also, their flowers are often sent in bud, allowing each flower to open up and bloom once in your home, meaning they last for much longer. I personally think this is a fantastic idea, as knowing how long your flowers are going to last is often a worry when purchasing online.
