Last week I was finally able to visit the Good Ship Benefit
. If you haven’t heard about this magical Benefit boat, where have you been?! For the last few months Benefit have been on board the R.S Hispaniola on the bank of the River Thames, opposite the London Eye, offering fabulous cocktails, fantastic make-overs, fancy afternoon teas and even a morning yoga class!
I have seen photos from many events held on board, watched many snapchat clips of bloggers visiting and have even walked past the ship twice, but was still yet to go up on deck until last week.
Fortunately my good friend Chloe had been in contact with premium gin brand Pinkster
, who have partnered with Benefit on board Good Ship, and invited us both along for the evening to visit. The Pinkton Parlour bar (love the name!) serve Pinkster gin and tonics, plus an exclusive Pink Lady champagne cocktail, which of course I had to try! I would never have though to mix gin with champagne but it works so well. The cocktail was the perfect mix of light, refreshing and fruity, with just the right touch of fizz.
I was also very kindly treated to a complimentary eyebrow tint and wax, my first ever! I was a little apprehensive beforehand, but the lovely Benefit ladies put me at ease. I did however struggle to leave my brows alone and let them grow out. But Benefit did what they could and I am so pleased with their look. They’ve helped tidy up my unruly brows and give them a more defined shape. I now just need to let the arch grow out a little so it fills in and creates the perfect curve. The tint was also expertly done and has meant that my brows naturally look much fuller and thicker. So I no longer take 10 minutes every morning filling in my brows. I can simply whizz over the arch with their Precisely My Brow pencil and I’m done. I will definitely be heading back to Benefit for future brow waxes. It gives your brows a much more defined and clean shape. More so than plucking can. And I was surprised at how little it hurt. I won’t lie, there was a twinge or two of pain but nothing compared to waxing your legs or bikini line! And the lovely beautician very kindly popped some foundation around my brow afterwards to cover up any redness, as we were heading out to dinner.
The Good Ship Benefit is at Victoria Embankment until the end of August. Each bar and restaurant is themed after a different Benefit product. It really looks incredible!! They’ve gone all out with decor. A must visit if you’re in London over the next couple of weeks!
