This week I popped along to Paradise By Way of Kensal Green, to attend Thomas Cook’s event – #5SensesofTurkey.
The event was intended to experience the rich history of Turkey, by exploring some of the delights of the country. Having never visited Turkey before, I was excited to learn more!
From the vibrancy of Turkish design and art, to the magical sounds of Turkish music, our senses were tantalised throughout the evening.
My favourite part was this beautiful table of Turkish scents, including myrrh. I had never seen or smelt myrrh before, which was an amazing experience, and the bottles each smell was contained in, were stunning!
The food was equally as delightful, and these hairy prawns were so yummy!
We also had the fun opportunity to try on some traditional Turkish costumes, including this incredible, copper coloured cape.
All in all, the event was a lot of fun, and I was able to experience something completely new for me. The staff, at both Thomas Cook Airlines and Talented Talkers, put on a fantastic evening. I was also able to catch up with some blogger favourites of mine, and meet lots of new bloggers, which is always a nice bonus to any event!
It has certainly made me want to visit Turkey, in particular Dalaman.
