MEATliquor, Covent Garden

MEATmarket, Meat Liquor, Covent Garden, Phili CheesesteakPhili Cheesesteak £9 // Slaw £2 // Dead Hippie £8.50 // Fried Pickles £3.50

A couple of weekends ago, whilst exploring Covent Garden, we decided to stop by MEATmarket for lunch. We happened to pick the best day to go as it was their birthday, and they were offering 50% off all food and drink, if you gave them a gift. So we quickly popped down to the market below and bought a typical London tourist gift... a £2 Union Jack sticker. So our bill should've come to £38, but instead only cost £19! If you've ate out in London before, you will agree that this is ridiculously cheap for 2 people.

I opted for their Phili Cheesesteak, which consisted of mouthwatering rump steak, onion, peppers and cheese in a brioche style bun. Stew went for the Dead Hippie - 2 french mustard, beef patties, with Dead Hippie sauce, onions, lettuce, cheese and pickles. Although it tasted good, mine was the clear winner!
To accompany our tasty meats, we went for the house slaw and fried pickles. And you can't order a burger without shake! I chose vanilla and Stew went for malt... Malt won. It was incredible! And the best thing about being in a relationship, is that you can share food. So Stew got to try my delicious steak and I got to have a slurp of his amazing shake.

Even without the discount, this place is worth a visit. It boasts fun interior, friendly and attentive staff, quick service and awesome food!
I haven't been to the mother of the MEAT chain - MEATliquor yet, but definitely want to try it after this good experience.
