Another photo heavy post! A couple of weeks ago I explored the seaside suburb of Manly, on the north coast of Sydney, and last week I spent my day off exploring Coogee with my lovely friend Morgan. If you follow me on Instagram you may have already seen a couple of these photos before but here’s the full post 🙂
We started our day off right with lunch at Coogee Pavilion where we had a Corona each and shared a delicious margherita pizza, beer battered onion rings and fried Sebago potatoes with thyme and chilli aioli. Yum! Aioli is everywhere in Australia. It’s a garlic mayonnaise and tastes so good. Way better than the garlic mayo we have in your local kebab shop in the UK.
After lunch we went for a relaxing stroll along Coogee’s white sands and crystal clear waters. Although the day was sunny it was rather chilly. Definitely should’ve opted for boots instead of sandals! I can’t help but get carried away as soon as I see a spot of sun. Braving the winds for a few photos we then popped further in land for a quick coffee before catching the bus back into the city to watch the sun go down at Circular Quay. Here you can grab a drink at the Opera bar and sit in between Sydney’s two most famous landmarks the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. This is hands down the best spot in Sydney and if you ever come here you must, must get a drink, maybe even some food, relax and soak up the atmosphere. It’s magical!
