DIY Christmas wrapping paper

If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen me post he photo below of my DIY Christmas wrapping paper. I got the idea for this after seeing a roll of paper in Paperchase which looked a lot like brown paper with a pattern printed over the top. Priced at £4.50 per roll I thought how hard can it be to do yourself?!

So I bought a roll of 5m brown paper for £1 from our local pound store, used a sponge normally meant for washing the dishes, and used a cream paint left over from when my Dad painted our living room.
For the Christmas tree shape I used a cookie cutter as a template however you could draw something free hand or download an image off the internet. You could recreate any festive shape but I thought the Christmas tree worked well.
Carefully roll out some of the brown paper, poor some paint out on to the pots lid, dab the sponge into the paint and get stamping! Each tree came out slightly different but I think this adds to the homemade feel. Leave for a couple of hours to dry and roll the paper out more to do another section. I didn’t do the whole roll as I won’t be needing it all but you can do as little or as much as you like.

One thing I think I need now is tags! Any ideas on what kind of Christmas tags I could make?
I haven’t done a DIY post in so long but this was really enjoyable and so easy to do 🙂 I think you all should give it a go!
