Blackdown Barn, North Devon

As I mentioned in yesterday’s post I took a trip down to Devon last weekend with a group of friends to stay in this impressive barn! I was so blown away when I walked in that I just had to take some photos to blog about.
The barn is called Blackdown Barn, located at the foot of the Blackdown Hills in a small village called Kentisbeare. The nordic interior style barn is self contained with a beautiful kitchen, bathroom (including roll top bath!), toilet, 3 bedrooms and an ensuite. Not only that but upstairs in the two annex’s lies gym equipment and a pool table.
The main room comprises of three separate living areas and a large dining table to seat 12. There is a flat screen tv with surround sound and blu-ray player. Needless to stay I didn’t leave the barn all that often during the weekend… the green sofa is incredibly comfy and became my spot for the 3 days!

The lovely owners of the barn treated us to a welcome hamper full of goodies as well as cream tea in the fridge! When in Devon…

My favourite part of the stay had to be taking a dip in this beautiful roll top bath! I’ve never had a bath in one before and dream of owning one in my future house. It would’ve been rude not to try it out!

I forgot to mention before that the kitchen comes fitted with a Smeg fridge!! In this eye catching lime green colour, the fridge matches all of the other accessories in the kitchen.
I sound like such a sales person in this post, I promise I’m not earning any commission 😉 I’m not sure how the barn prices normally, I presume Summer and Christmas will be very expensive. However between 12 of us we each paid only £40 for 3 nights. There was only enough beds to sleep 8 but spare mattresses, towel and plenty of bedding were supplied. They even gave us shampoo and conditioner samples on our towels! It was practically like staying in a hotel, only cooking for yourself.
