Makes lots!! Although we did use mini cutters
Ingredients: 12oz plain flour, 1tsp bicarbonate of soda, 1tsp ground ginger, half a tsp of cinnamon, 4 soy butter, 6oz light brown sugar, 6tbsp golden syrup (and some soya milk to bind)
Gingerbread tastes sooo good and is so easy to make! Why wouldn’t you?! This is a vegan recipe again as my lovely house mate is vegan so it just makes sense 🙂
Firstly heat the oven to 190 degrees. Sift the flour, bicarb, ginger and cinnamon and then rub in the butter so that it resembles bread crumbs. Then stir in the sugar and add the golden syrup. If your mixture is not forming a dough you can add some soya milk until you have a good giant dough ball!!
Roll the mixture on to a lightly floured surface and cut out your shapes. We chose these mini man and woman cutters so the mixture made loads but if you used a large gingerbread man it would be far less. Place on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper and bake for 10-12mins.
