One of the best things about having my space on the internet, with Sweet Monday, is that I have the opportunity to support new and exciting brands, such as Osmology.
Osmology are a home fragrance store based on Christmas Steps in Bristol. Having spent lots of time in Bristol, the city holds a special place in my heart, and so when I learned that Osmology were a local brand, and located in one of my favourite areas (if you haven’t visited, you must take a stroll down Christmas Steps), I jumped at the chance of reviewing a selection of their candles.
Home to some of the world’s leaded candle brands, Osmology have all of your home fragrance needs wrapped up into one place. Whether you live near Bristol or not, you can shop their extensive range both in store and online.
Osmology pride themselves on carefully curating the best collection of scented candles from aroma specialists all over the world. The company and website are still growing, but already they have some fantastic brands available, including Maison Louis Marie, Laboratory Perfumes and Skandinavisk – pictured here.
I chose the KOTO candle by Skandinavisk in large size, priced at £29, and RO in a smaller size, priced at £15. Koto in Finnish means ‘cosy at home’, and this candle certainly achieves this feeling with a mix of delicate scents. Whereas RO is more of a tranquil scent, with notes of fresh grass and leaves. I’ve kept this one in the bedroom and light it in the evening when I get into bed and read a book before falling asleep. It’s very calming and fills the room beautifully.
KOTO has found a home in our living room and I can’t wait to light it more when we move into Autumn. It will be the perfect candle to have on after dinner, when darkness creeps in and we put on a film or catch up on our favourite TV show, snuggled on the sofa.
Their Scandi design is really beautiful too, and perfectly compliments our minimal furnishing. I love the packaging almost as much as I love the scents! In a variety of scents and coloured packaging, they would make a lovely gift for someone special. They even sell one called Hygge – perfect for cosy days at home, snuggled up in a blanket, with a cup of tea and a good read.
Have you ever bought a Skandinavisk candle before? Have you heard of Osmology? Where do you shop for candles?
