We celebrated Valentine’s Day early this year. As it falls on a Tuesday we decided to celebrate at the weekend, enjoying a fancy dinner out on Saturday evening at Pan Chai in Harrods (review coming soon) and a few cocktails afterwards, around the Sloane Square area. You may remember that last year we spent Valentine’s on the London Eye, followed by dinner at Dishoom. But more importantly than the food, was of course my Valentine’s date night outfit for the evening, all from New Look!
I decided to go for something a little dressed down, but jazzed up with a pair of shiny new shoes! I don’t tend to dress up glam, so for me these silver peep toe slingback are the perfect compromise. The metallic silver colour mean that whatever I wear with them is immediately taken up a notch or two! As we were having dinner a little earlier than normal we also decided to have a wander around the Knightsbridge area before hand, making more out of our day. So I didn’t want to go too ott anyway.
These trousers are my style down to a t. I know when I wear them into work next, everyone will say that they’re ‘so’ me. I own three pairs in similar shapes but different colours and have been looking for a grey pair to add to my collection for a while. This pair from New Look are exactly what I was looking for. The grey colouring also goes great with the silver sling backs and the dark mustard colour of the top. The top is something I really need to shout about too. With a high neck and rib fabric, it is totally a me kind of top. However, making it stand out compared to the rest of my wardrobe, are these cute flute sleeves. These add a touch of style and interest to an otherwise plain top, which I love about it. A friend at work actually has this top in black and after spotting her in it, I immediately asked her where she purchased it. It’s currently in the sale at just £14.99 online, making it a bit of a bargain too! The colour on site is described as olive green, but I’d say it’s much more of a dark mustard colour.
Do you have any plans for Valentine’s Day? Have you purchased any new outfits? I love it when you buy an entirely new outfit, instead of just one or two items. It makes me so excited!
