Lavish Alice

London Fashion Week is always a good excuse to dress up for the day and experiment with your own style. I tend to play it safe in my every day outfits. I stick to monochrome colour palettes and basic shapes. However, I bought this cute, high neck, dusky pink jumper a little while ago and I absolutely love the colour, shape and texture. I though I would pair it with my staple, light denim, ankle grazer jeans and my go-to fashion week leopard print boots. (You may remember that I wore these last year too!).

However, I didn’t know how to finish the outfit off. Fashion Week in February means it’s still pretty chilly and a coat is a must. I could’ve played it safe and pick a camel or grey coloured boyfriend coat. That was until Lavish Alice stepped in with their new collection, Trends Element. This new range is curated of brilliant statement pieces of clothing, from shorts to duster jackets, dresses to coats. Each piece has a unique twist. Whether it’s in the shape, the detailing or the tailoring. I absolutely love this about the collection, that not everything is quite as it seems. Each item is beautifully designed and manufactured.

This sage green tailored coat is no exception. From the offset it look like any other buttoned coat. However, on closer inspection it has splits up either side of the coat, right up to the waist. This interesting detail makes it utterly unique, and the perfect balance (for me anyway) between a statement and every day coat.

Although the colour palette of this outfit is still muted, it’s very colourful for me! The majority of my wardrobe makes up the grey, black and white end of the spectrum. So any touch of colour, whether it’s pastel shades like this, is quite different for me, but I really love it! Mixing sage green with dusky pink works beautifully. It’s definitely made me want to experiment and add more colours to my wardrobe.
