I have some very exciting news to share with you all… Today you can find me featured on the New Look Christmas Advent Calendar! I have been so excited and eagerly awaiting this day, for the past couple of months. This marks a great day for my blog, and I am over the moon that New Look chose to partner with me for this fantastic opportunity.
Not only am I featured personally, wearing a lovely outfit from New Look, but so are a couple of festive recipes I have created especially for their customers. Recipes have been a feature of my blog for just over 18 months now, and have grown to become my favourite section of my blog. I love to cook and bake, and I enjoy creating new recipes each week to share with my readers. So for New Look to approach me for a Christmas themed recipe, is fantastic. I love that I can share this passion of mine, and I hope that at least a couple of you will be inspired to re-create my recipes!
One of my favourite things about this time of year, are the wonderful flavours of coffee to be drank. Whether it’s gingerbread, chocolate orange or cinnamon, there are an array of different syrups and flavourings available, to spice up our daily coffee routine. My favourite spice has to be cinnamon, and I love adding this to my own lattes at home. It’s a delicious, warming drink and the smell alone reminds me of Christmas.
Ingredients (makes 2)
1tsp ground cinnamon, plus extra for dusting

1 pint of semi skimmed milk
Whipped cream for serving
1. In a large pan, over a medium heat, mix the sugar and cinnamon with a splash of milk. Slowly add the rest of the milk, stirring constantly and bring to the boil.
2. Just as the mixture comes to the boil, remove from the heat.
3. Make up 200ml of black coffee, whether you use filter coffee or instant is entirely up to you, and split between two New Look drinking jars.
4. Pour over the milk mixture and top with whipped cream, and a dusting of cinnamon.
