Sunday is here again. I must admit I forgot to post an outfit post last weekend. I think that’s the first time I’ve missed one in at least a year. Oops! The past few weekends have been hard to take any photographs and plan posts. Stew has either been away, or we’ve had visitors, and now that the clocks have changed and we’re well and truly into Autumn, it means it gets dark before I get home from work, so weekends are my only chance to take photos. This isn’t so bad when it comes to lifestyle or recipe posts, but outfits are now proving tricky! Are any of you in the same predicament?
I shouldn’t beat myself up about it too much, but I do feel a slight pressure to post regularly. Not from any of you, but from myself. I have got into such a routine of posting an outfit every Sunday, a recipe every Tuesday, a restaurant review every Thursday, that if I miss one I feel disappointed with myself. It’s silly I know! And I really shouldn’t be so hard on myself. Working full time means blogging can be hard to do as it is. So I think the fact I managed to post at least 3-4 times a week is something to be proud of. I just don’t want to lose momentum and I absolutely love blogging. I need to be more savvy with my time and set aside a couple of hours each week to catch up on everything and plan the week ahead!
Top – New Look | Skirt – ASOS | Tights – ASOS | Boots – Vagabond via ASOS
Aside from wearing this outfit this weekend, featuring this cute stripe top from New Look that I picked up in an ASOS sample say for just £1!! Amazing! Like I need anymore of these style tops, but I couldn’t resist such a great bargain. Last night we enjoyed a firework display in South London for bonfire night with some friends. We feasted on warming chilli and red wine beforehand, and then came back home for dessert of mince pies and port. Our friend cheekily put on a Christmas song too! It felt so festive. Eee! Now that bonfire night is out of the way I am well and truly in the Christmas spirit. I’ve already bought my parents their gifts this year – so organised! I had a slight freakout the other day when I looked at my calendar and realised that I have only 2 weekends free before Christmas. How is that possible when there are like 8 weeks until the big day?! Gahh! So I made a list of everything I want to buy and I’m ticking it off already. I just need Stew to make up his mind what he wants. Why is it so hard to buy gifts for guys? I don’t know about your boyfriends, or brothers/dad’s, but mine always say ‘I don’t want anything this year’ or ‘I don’t really need anything’. SO unhelpful!
Are any of you already in the festive spirit? What are you hoping for this Christmas?
