Last week when I visited Manly I met up with the delightful Katie-Jane who not only showed me around her home town but also took this outfit photos for me. The beauty of a photographer, a good camera and manual focus! I wish I could master the art of manual rather than sticking to auto focus all the time. The quality of the images look so much better, like how using a Canon dslr should look. So thank you Katie for this lovely photos.

I've probably blogged about this outfit before. It's so hard living with minimal clothing in my wardrobe to muster up different outfits on my blog now. In Melbourne I bought a lot of clothes, but I then had to throw a lot of older clothing away to be able to fly to Sydney. And now we have plans to travel the east coast of Australia in a camper van in January, before moving on to Japan, China and Hong Kong! So I will need to get all of my belongings down from two and a half cases currently, to just one case!! It's a hard task in itself and I know I'm going to have to be ruthless with a lot of stuff so I've been put off buying anything new now. Although I see plenty of clothing and shoes (especially shoes!!!) that I like I just can't justify buying anything. And with all these travel plans comes an even bigger saving plan so I also can't afford to buy anything new. So I'm afraid you may have to get used to a few recycled outfits in the coming months.

  2. I think I need to take a leaf out of your book and do some reckless clearing out of my stuff! I find you so hard to let go though, I don't think I could get rid of as much stuff as you! Love the dress

  5. Loove this dress! Hey, sometimes not being able to buy clothes is a good thing, it forces you to find new ways to wear your existing ones!

  8. haha been there and done that! When we left Australia and decided to travel around Aus & Thailand before coming back to the UK. We had to pack our whole house up in a container and leave with just one bag!!! The worst thing was, is after all our travelling for a few months and after landing back in the UK. We still had to wait a few months for our container to arrive...!!

The funny thing is now I love have less clothes. It means less stress in the morning and you have to really think about what you buying to make sure it is versatile enough.

    Good luck with your travels!

  10. Love this dress, you look so lovely Kim :) your travel plans sound so exciting bet you cannot wait. Although your Australia life looks amazing also. I can relate to the suitcase wardrobe me and James are currently in thailand and plan to travel in the coming months, the thought of down sizing what I already have seems impossible aha specially when I keep buying new things too. Hope you're well :) xo

  11. Love the dress. I wish i could wear ones that are this length but then end up looking like a too short maxi on me. Damn my shortness!

  13. Ahhhh its gutting when all your stuff wont fit in your backpack! Have you considered sending a parcel home via sea mail? It can take up to 90 days to arrive but it's better than having to get rid of everything. It cost me $90 to send home 7kg worth of clothes which sounds pricey but the clothes were worth way more than that in total and I really wanted to keep it all!! xx
