Lifestyle // Our new apartment in Melbourne!

Sweet Monday, Melbourne

We've finally moved into our shiny new apartment :) We're living just off Chapel Street in South Yarra. It's a great location with so many bars, restaurants and shops literally on our doorstep. The apartment itself is fantastic. Stew and I are sharing a room with a kingsize bed and ensuite. We're living with Stew's best friend and the apartment has it's own balcony. The building is only 6 months old and comes with a luxurious swimming pool, sauna, steam room, gym and rooftop garden with bbq area! We can't believe our luck.

Sweet Monday

The apartment came with everything except furnishings such as bedding and kitchenware, so we popped to the nearest Kmart to stock up. This was a super stressful trip with us not being able to catch a taxi back with everything for over 2 hours!! The transport in Melbourne is shocking. If you're not in the city centre booking or hailing a taxi is almost impossible and the train system is terrible. It's not until you leave the UK that you really appreciate how amazing the London underground is!

Below is the view from the top of our building and further on you'll see the rooftop garden and pool.

  3. Eeep this looks incredible! We were paying £800 a month for a tiny room in a 20 bed shared house in Sydney ha! This looks like the Hilton in comparison. Beautiful. <3

  19. What an amazing place!!! Looks like you got it all though, despite the hassle of getting everything there. It's nice to think you may not need a car with good public transport (US lacks that in most cities). But, it sure is nice to having when you're moving and stuff!

  21. OMGGGAAWD Kim you guys really lucked out! my first apartment in Melbourne was in Camberwell - Riversdale Road, really close to where you are now! Our balcony looked out toward MCG and best view of the skyline, but certainly no mod cons like yours! it sounds fab, you lucky thing you! x
