John Frieda Frizz-Ease shampoo & Brilliant Brunette conditioner

I was sent these John Frieda products a couple of weeks ago to sample and see how I got on with them. Whilst living with my parents I tended to only wash my hair with whatever my Mum had bought, everyday shampoo and conditioner and therefore didn't pay much attention to brands. Although saying that Herbal Essences was most common, probably because it's always on offer.

Now I'm living on my own you realise how much toiletries cost and how it racks up the weekly shopping bill. And isn't it funny how everything seems to run out at exactly the same time?!

So being offered the chance to receive shampoo and conditioner to try out was something I couldn't say no to. I have heard of the John Frieda brand before and have actually previously used the Frizz-Ease conditioner. The shampoo is much the same. It managed to take out all of the knots from my hair whilst shampooing and when blow dried my hair certainly felt a lot calmer than normal. I always concentrate on conditioning as my hair is naturally thick and rather frizzy. However I hadn't ever thought to actually use a frizz calming shampoo. So this could be a product I regularly buy into now.

The moisturising Brilliant Brunette conditioner left my hair smelling like I'd just came out of the salon. It reminded me a little of the conditioner you have free in hair dye. It made my hair feel silky smooth in the shower and again my hair felt/looked calmer after blow drying.

Do you use these products? Do you have any tips for typically frizzy hair? What are your recommended hair and beauty products?

  5. Ahhh they sell this in Sainsburys and I always forget to try it! Definitely will do now. Ahh I use lots of hair masks and miracle treatments to control my frizz. The packaging on JF products always looks very proffessional. I always use their hair dyes :)
