DIY Home Decor

DIY is something most of us associate with a TV show we cannot follow loose screws and wallpaper sliding off. But this is something everyone should try because it is so much fun and can bring out your creative side. Many people assume they have to replicate high end designs but you can easily produce something to reflect your personality.

Simple things such as hanging different coloured scarves on curtain poles will look stylish and fashionable Holding accessories on side of cheap curtain poles is a great idea to use for decorating and creating storage space. You could write inspiring and motivational quotes on pieces of cloth and wrap them around your curtain poles. Use this as opportunity try stuff such as stencil curtains with your name, and use old necklaces as curtain ties. If you run out of space in your room then this can easily be used for clothes hangers.

Tidy all your corners which have old magazines or stacks of clothes and use an under bed storage facility to disguise it. Your bedroom is somewhere where you don’t want to create any more stress so why not revamp your room. Simple tips such as rearranging it will make a huge impact. Add a rug which contrasts your walls, it will make it look spacious.

Memories are what make us happy and produce positive moods so why not create a collage of photographs and stick it up on your wall. Colour psychology is always something which affects how we behave and using calm colours like blue & green can make a difference. Have you redecorated or made some changes you would like to share?
