Birds of a feather

I wore this outfit to the Very event on Friday, which I blogged about yesterday. I had had my eye on this print by Love for a while but at the time couldn't justify spending the money. Until I spotted it in their sale and I knew it was fate. I love the feather print, and the gorgeous Autumn colours. 
I also have to say that I picked this bag up from a charity shop on Thursday for a cool £1! :) I love it, it's big enough to fit in all my essentials plus my dslr. So was perfect for the event.

Unfortunately the shoes featured here are no longer with us. Topshop is forever letting me down on quality and alas my Chelsea boots have died. I do wear them a lot, 3 days a week to work and most weekends in the day but still I only bought them in October so I'm less than impressed. The whole sole and heel was hanging off and the inside had all come loose, and the scuff marks around the bottom edges had started to form holes :'( I've since heard of someone elses plight with them, a very similar story so I will no longer be buying cheaply made tat sold at ridiculous prices. Goodbye Topshop! But hello River Island (can't see them online but they're still in the shops). On my way to the station I stopped off to chuck the Chelsea's in the bin and put my shiny new Allegra's on :) mm bliss! x

  1. I have the long sleeved wrap version of that top, I did an OOTN with it on my own blog last week :) I'd had my eye on it for a while on the Love website aswell but didn't buy it until it was in the sale!
    This one looks lovely on you and I love your coat! Your accent nail is really cute too :)

  23. I'm gutted that this dress is now sold out in a S/M, I've had my eye on it for a while, didn't realise it had gone into the sale, so annoying! I've never bought Topshop shoes but I thought they would be high quality? How annoying! xx

  36. I wouldn't recommend the River Island ones either - I wear mine to work maybe 4 days a week and they need re-heeling after only 5 or 6 weeks! Only bought them the week before Xmas or something ridiculous like that! Asos are probably the worst for pretty shoes with terrible quality heels though (3 pairs I've bought from them have all needed new heels after about 6 weeks). Bloody high street stuff!
