Enjoy!

I made some more cupcakes this week for the other branch that I work in. It's my final day tomorrow yayyy! :D All the cupcakes were enjoyed and gobbled up in about 2 seconds flat.

If you would like the recipe, it's the same as in my previous post but with a little glitter and some flowers/butterflies, which I cut out of royal icing with a cutter from Hobbycraft!

THE HOFF!

Sorry I'm a day late!

Been out since early Monday morning and for some reason I can't seem to schedule my posts?! Is anyone else having that problem?

01. So this weekend was pretty jam packed. Friday I went to the cinema and saw Horrible Bosses, has anyone seen it yet? I thought it was so good! So so funny, definitely recommend it! Two of the guys in it are the same two in Going the Distance (another great film if you haven't seen it). They are just too funny in both.

02. Saturday there was a food fair on at Gloucester Docks, and Gino D'acampo was there cooking up a storm. Sadly we didn't get to taste any nice creations, and well you all know how my day ended...how unfortunate!

03. But all was not lost, Saturday night I went out with two of my best friends on a random one, they always turn out to be the most fun! My one friend was driving bless her and still managed to last til 3am, not leaving the dancefloor once! :)

04. And finally, this week is my last week at my job...WOOHOO :D

I bought this playsuit in Tesco a couple of weeks ago. Randomly saw it hanging up and knew I had to have it and it was only £16! :) Bargain. I've bought it for holiday but last night a few of us went out and I thought I'd try and dress it up a bit. Actually think it goes really well with tight and heels. I love Tesco for clothes, can find some real gems!

Hope everyone's having a lovely weekend, finally some sunny weather! :)

I got this dress from the lovely girls at Yayer this week and have fallen in love with it! I wore it out today and then my friend bought me this hat from H&M and it goes perfectly with the dress. I've never thought about owning a hat quite like it but have seen lots of you wearing ones similar, including Lily, who I thought it suited so well. Never thought it would suit me but I think it's my new favourite accessory! So thank you friend and thank you Yayer girls :) Wanted to wear the outfit with some heels tonight but unexpectedly a bird pooed on me today...yes thats right, in town, all down my back, and as the dress is lace, it was literally ON my back and in my hair! I could've cried but thankfully saw the funny side. Everyone's telling me it's good luck...reeeally?!!! Maybe I should do the lottery tonight?!
Fingers crossed mum can work her magic and clean it up!

More Scotch Tape Experiments

Models Own: Nude, Champagne and Fuzzy Peach

I tried another design using scotch tape after my last attempt didn't turn out the best... I'm not one to give up! 

I got this idea from Laura who I'd seen use three colours and do something funky a while a go. 

The polish looks a little bobbly from where I put a few too many layers on I think and although I like it, I think next time I'll try brighter colours as you couldn't really see the Champagne polish so it kinda just looked like I'd splodged a random bit of a peach on my nail :/

Farewell Cupcakes

6oz caster sugar

6oz butter

6oz self raising flour

3 small eggs

So I leave my job next Friday and my colleague has been pestering me to bake some cupcakes for a while. So I gave into his demands and baked 22 of them the other night! All of which have now been eaten and I had 1?!! How is that fair?

I wanted to go a little more adventurous but found I didn't have a lot left in the cupboards at home, so they're fairly boring but everyone's enjoyed them :) My colleague is now making some of his own for me to try tomorrow... hmm they best not be better than mine ;)

These are so easy to make; first mix the sugar and butter then add a little flour and an egg and so on until all of which have been used up! I then split the mixture and added 2tbsp of cocoa powder to the one half to make half a batch of chocolate ones.

The butter icing is made from 6oz butter and 12oz of icing sugar, which covered about 18 cakes?! Because I use a large piping nozzle it uses so much icing! No matter how much I mix it never seems to stretch over all the cakes. 

I split the icing in half too making one colour yellow and the other purple. I then put a spoonful of one and then the other in the piping back and so on until it was all in there. When you pipe it out the colours run into each other and each cake ends up looking slightly different :)

I haven't baked in so long! I'm definitely going to get back into it. Really want to make strawberries and cream cakes this summer... if the sun ever shines again! x

Sweet Monday 040

01. It's Monday again, ugh the weekends go so quickly! This one was a good one, got to spend time with lots of friends :) The photo above is of my best friend Lou and I at our friends hen night! Yes one of my best friends is getting married in September, I can't quite believe it. I feel far too young to be thinking about all that. So this Saturday was part 1 of her hen nights where we could enjoy celebrating with her family. It was a Robbie Williams tribute night, and he was actually pretty good, he dragged Lou up on stage straight away! Haha. And now he's added us both on facebook?! Slightly worried. Part 2 is a pampering day at Chapel Spa in Cheltenham followed by food and lots of a drinks on a crazy night out I'm sure. 

02. I wore a dress that I'd bought from a shop called Olive in Cheltenham ready for my new job but I don't think I'll be wearing it there now. I think it looks a little mumsy but I do quite like it, not usually my thing but hey :)

03. I'm sure you all know my friend Lyzi, well she is selling some short shorts at the moment and I bagged myself two pairs this weekend. They came today and fit like a beaut! Thank you Lyzi!!

04. Hope you all had a good weekend. Did everyone watch the apprentice?! That's all I've been hearing about today and I don't bloody watch it! 

I'm off to bake some cupcakes, haven't made any in sooo long! Not sure what to go for but I finish work next week and promised I'd make everyone some...need to show off my skills ;) x

Another pretty simple design, I'm getting so lazy with my nails. I used scotch tape to create the lines down the sides but they still didn't come out all that straight :| if anyone has any tips please share? Speaking of tips, if my nails ever grow long enough I really want to try black tips on clear or nude nails! 

Seen so many designs recently that I want to try out, it's just having the time to do them. Roll on August when I have a whole month off :D Expect lots of nail creations and hopefully more baking. I haven't baked in sooo long.

01. Sorry for the lack of blogging this week. Don't really feel I've been home :/ went for a pretty random night out in Herford at the weekend where I bumped into Lily :) Saw lots of old friends out and of course I got stupidly drunk, what's new! I don't know how I manage it, I didn't even drink that much?!

02. Other than that my weekend was pretty non existent. How was yours? Anyone get up to anything exciting?

03. The photo above is of what I wore Friday, it's from Motel. I love it but got so many comments about the bow tie feature. I'm not sure the population of Hereford was quite ready for the quirkyness. Haha.

01. First up I do apologise for my lack of blogging, I've had so much on my mind with finding a new job and building up the courage to hand my notice in. It sounds ridiculous but all of my previous employers have always been so happy for me when I've left to move onto better things, but I just knew it wouldn't be like it this time. So last Thursday I had to do it before time ran out, and it was horrible. :( But I feel so relieved that I've handed it in now! My job has been getting me down so badly over the last few months that I'm happy to say that come July 29th I will be FREEEE! And my new job is part time to start so I will have more time to be creative and hopefully blog a little more!

02. Also this week I went to talk to someone about the god awful tattoo I have on my wrist. It's meant to be of a bow but looks like a cross between a cherry blossom/butterfly/mess! It's seriously done so badly, and when I got my foot done last year I was told I'd have to get it lazered off :| But now I've been told that it can definitely be covered! Thank the lord :D But now I need to think of something?! I spotted on Claire's blog a link to a tattoo site and have found some really cool designs, so well done as well! So I have a ton of ideas in my head now but would love some help....do any of you have any tattoos? Or have any ideas for tattoos that you would like?! All opinions are welcome :)

03. This weekend I went to see Bridesmaids at the cinema, has anyone seen it? I didn't think it was up to much to be honest. I was hoping for a female 'The Hangover'. It did have some really funny parts but then it would kind of drift off. I think the trailer showed all the best bits. 

04. Also this weekend I had another wild night out with my friend Lucyna (pictured in the second photo). I wore a new Motel dress that I'd bought in their sale...and the bloody button fell off as soon as we got in the car :( So not impressed! However I know it won't stop me from buying their stuff. I love so many of the dresses they have in the sale atm...eek!
