£50 Clothing at Tesco giveaway!

This week there will be no 'Sweet Monday' weekly round up. Instead because I have recently hit over 200 followers (woop woop) I am going to hold my very first blog competition!

Recently I was contacted by Clothing at Tesco to pick out an outfit for under £50. It had to be something to wear for the upcoming party season. The first few items I had my eye were sadly out of stock so after a lot of trial and error I picked out these three.
And now you can have the chance of winning £50 worth of vouchers to spend online at Clothing at Tesco to possibly buy your Christmas party dress!

Although the items I picked weren't my first choice I do love them, and will definitely be wearing them again. I love the peg leg trouser trend this season, I think they work great for day or night, and this black pair will be great for nights out. The shoes are beautiful, I've never bought a cream pair of heels before, for fear of ruining them. But I think the colour really sets off the outfit. The top is a little big for me as I have no boobs to fill it out, but I love the style of it. I hope you all like the pieces I picked out and think they make a great 'going out' outfit.

Competition Rules
So for your chance of winning a whopping £50 worth of vouchers to spend online at Clothing at Tesco all you have to do is:

- Comment with what outfit trend you're loving this Christmas season, or what pieces you love from the Clothing at Tesco website.
- You must be a follower of my blog :)
- You must leave your email address so that I can contact you easily.
- You can gain extra entries by tweeting - @kimparslow is holding a great competition to win £50 of @ClothingatTesco vouchers http://bit.ly/hP62B7
- Closing date of the competition will be Sunday 12th December, and the winner will be chosen at random using random.org

Good luck everyone :) xx

Hope you're all having a lovely week ladies. I'm off to Skegness on Friday (if I'm not snowed in) so this will probably be my one and only post this week!
My friend took these photo's at the weekend and I just love the blue of the blouse. I never really wear blue but I think this colour is so vibrant and looks great with the red lippy. What do you guys think?
I've bought so many Dixi bargains recently, I'm addicted! And now Yayer have a sale on tonight. Ahhh!
Here are a few things I couldn't resist this week from Dixi: Varissa tan gilet, Victoria rose blouse, Tiah lace dress

Ooo also on another shopping spree I spent all of the money I made off my ebay back on ebay! (always the way) But I bought this amazing Chanel shirt from Twitch Vintage <3 I'm in LOVE!

Sweet Monday 008

01. GEEK! Next Saturday I'm dressing up as a geek with all the girls at this years Big Reunion. I'm really looking forward to getting away for the weekend and last year's festival was so much fun! Only thing I'm not looking forward to is the horrendous drive all the way up to...Skegness!

02. As I've mentioned before I now have a lookbook set up. If any of you have one be sure to fan me so I can find you :)

03. I hope you've all had a lovely weekend. I went out in Bristol on Friday which was a lot of fun. Went to Oceana of all places, but it was actually a decent night! And we bagged a free mojito each which always helps! What did you all get up to?

04. I have some exciting news for you all! Next Monday I will be launching a competition to win a whopping £50 voucher to spend at Clothing at Tesco. So get looking at what they have to offer as the winner could be you :)

Ten Things...

I Hate About You I am loving right now.

I was tagged by Dottie to post up 10 things I love. Here it goes (I'm sure many of you could probably guess most of them)...

Ed Westwick & Leighton Meester, mm!

First up Gossip Girl...need I say any more?!

Peg Leg Trousers - fingers crossing my boyfriend's going to get me a pair for Christmas :) I love the tweed look and the lovely blush tones that are currently everywhere at the moment.

Cheryl Cole eye lashes!

I bought a pair of the Cheryl false eye lashes for Halloween and I wore them again this weekend. I LOVE them. They stay on so well and don't so much lengthen my lashes that much but they swish out to the side and look fabulous! I would definitely recommend them.

L-R: Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Venice, Rome, Milan, Florence, Nice!

This Summer I went away with two friends around Europe for just over three weeks. It was a mixture of emotions but overall an amazing trip. I had been dying to go to Italy for a while and it was incredible! My favourite place would have to be Florence <3 but of course Amsterdam, Venice, seeing the Colosseum and the Vatican were all highlights! If you ever have the money/time to explore the World, don't hesitate and do it!

L-R: Scarlet Sparkle, Gold Finger, Lime Green, Grace Green, Feeling Blue, Beth's Blue,
Purple Grey, Purple Ash, Nude, Champagne, Mixed Up, Silver Fox.

In the last few months I have added to my nail polish collection with all of these Models Own beauties. I would strongly recommend them, the consistency of all of them is great and the glitter ones have amazing coverage. At £5 they are more than other favourites like Barry M but they are worth it! And you can currently get them on 3 for 2 in Boots :)

L-R: Topshop £16.50, Asos £10, Asos £6,
Topshop £6.50, Miss Selfridge £7, Topshop £12.50

I am obsessed with buying rings at the moment. Every time I'm out shopping I have to buy at least one. I try to hunt for the cheapest and most unusual but now I've come across these lovely 6 I may have to push the boat out. I really want the swan one in particular and the flower by Miss Selfridge is made out of chiffon. Ahh!

Currently listening to a lot of Take That after my mum bought their latest album! I'm not sure how I feel about Robbie being back as I've loved them forever and haven't quite ever forgiven him for leaving in the first place! (Sad I know) But my friend got us all tickets to go see them next June and I can't friggin' wait :D
I am always playing Alexis Jordan 'Happiness' after Chris Moyles played it to death on his show. I can't help but sing along (badly) in the car! Also 'Like a G6' is such a tune, and I'm such a chav! Haha. Oh well I'm happy to admit it, gotta love a good beat to get down to in a club.

L-R: Teriyaky Chicken, Yaki Soba,
Cha Han, Chicken Tama Rice

I love Wagamama mmmmmm! If you haven't tried it before you seriously need to. These are my faves, I'm just gutted the closest Restaurant to me is all the way in Bristol! Oh and they do free green tea :)

Nail art! Sadly I'm not able to experiment as much as I like to anymore due to working full time :( But when I can I still love to paint my nails. I have a week off from Thursday so I think I might have to bust out some leopard print.

L-R: Jeffrey Campbell £119, Office £62, Office £85,
New Look £19.99, Asos £210, Topshop £85.

Wedges! I currently only own one pair. This needs to be rectified a.s.a.p

I now tag some of you to show us all your top 10 loves!

Wallpaper Rose

Skirt: New Look
Shoes: Primark
Necklace: Pearla Wallpaper Rose

Last week I was contacted by the lovely Louise at Wallpaper Rose to pick a piece from her collection to show to you all and so I picked Pearla. This beautiful floral (working) locket complements any outfit, and really makes you feel like you have a one off piece of jewellery.
If you haven't heard of Wallpaper Rose before, Louise has summed it up as 'an engaging collection of handmade vintage-inspired jewellery that constantly evolves as new pieces are created'. The online shop was established only last year but has gone from strength to strength fusing Louise's love of the beautiful, the charming and the vintage.
As soon as I had a glance, I was addicted! I have already bought this peter pan collared top and an unusual compass necklace :) (which will be shown soon)
Each piece from the collection is sent carefully gift-wrapped and if you want to you can actually create a custom piece by contacting Louise at info@wallpaperrose.co.uk

As an extra special something, I have been granted a 10% discount code for my blog readers. All you have to do is enter SWEETMONDAY at the checkout and the code is valid until 14th December. Perfect for your Christmas prezzies!

I hope you enjoy!

Matte Effect

Before:
 After:

Ok so I'm pretty dam late on the Matte effect nail polish, but for any of you that haven't seen it, I thought I'd do a post anyway! I hate not being able to do funky things with my nails anymore because of stupid work :(

But anyway, I have to say I am really impressed with this nail polish! I'm not sure if Rimmel are the only brand to do it but it's so cool! Haha. Wow I sound like an geek...I would just LOVE to know how it works. It literally turns matte and drys pretty much as soon as you put it on. Crazy!
After trying it on a range of colours, I think I prefer it on dark shades. It looks great on Purple Grey by Models Own, and I've seen a lot of people try it with black which looks really good too.

Looks like you've just painted your nails...literally!

Oh and P.S. I've got a lookbook account now, if you have one let me know, you can find mine here!

dot to dot

Dress: H&M
Cardigan: H&M
Clutch Bag: Dorothy Perkins
Shoes: Topshop
Nails: Models Own 'Champagne'
Rings: Vintage & ASOS

Finally a proper outfit post of my favourite H&M dress :) I love the fact I can wear it casually or dress it up!
This is my latest Models Own purchase. I love this colour, it's much more shiny in person.

Not much to say today, other than my lucky streak that I mentioned in yesterdays post has continued! Today I won a huge teddy bear at work! After everyone had bought lots of tickets for the charity, I decided to buy 2 and wasn't fussed at what numbers I had....and then BAM I win! HA!
I'm definitely going to be playing the Lottery and the Euro millions this weekend. Will be picking my own numbers and doing a lucky dip :D Fingers crossed!

Sweet Monday 007

Models Own 'Grace Green' nail polish and 'Pinky Red' lippie.

01. This week has been a good one in the small blogging world of Sweet Monday :) I have lots of great things coming your way in the near future! And I'm so excited!!

02. On that note I would to thank each and every one of my followers, I'm on my way to 200 now! I've only been blogging properly for about 3 months so 180 followers means a hell of a lot to me. And thank you to everyone who has left me a sweet comment recently, I take time to read all of them and try to comment/follow all of your blogs! If you would like me to check yours out, let me know x

03. I found out today that I've won Deerbrains's Vice competition :) I can't wait to receive my Vice 'Guide to Everything' book! All my life I never win anything and now I've won this competition and Jazzpad's competition last month! I'm on a lucky streak.

04. Oh and before I forget, I've finally been talked into setting up a Lookbook account. I sorted it out yesterday so it's in extremely early days and I've only posted one look! Which only has 4 hypes so far :'( Let me know if you have it and I will fan you. What ever that means haha. I'll get the hang of it soon!

05. A few of my faves to follow this week are: Beth, Michelle and Gem.

Eyeko Review

Last week I became an Ambassador for make up brand Eyeko. After seeing lots of fellow bloggers including Daisy Butter (who did an internship with Eyeko) reviewing their products, and with my love for nail polish, I decided to jump on the band wagon and invest in some shades of my own.
I picked these four colour as I've been dying for a lovely blue for ages and haven't come across anything as nice as this shade. This infra red 'Coral' colour grabbed my eye straight away and the 'Posh' polish reminded me of a mushroom tone that I'd been after for a while. And the 'Vintage' green you can get free by entering VINTAGE at the check out :)

So what did I think of Eyeko's polishes? Well firstly they are great value for money, at only £3.50 they are cheaper than most other nail polish brands on the market. Also the bottle shape is a great design where the brush actually reaches right down to the bottom!! Nothing annoys me more when you can see you have half a pot left but can't reach it (Rimmel!!)
The overall colours of each varied quite a bit, I found that the first three covered well with one coat, where as the Vintage green was a little wish washy so definitely needed two coats! But that's the same with a lot of nail polishes, so I wouldn't hold that against it.
The Coral is definitely my favourite (and is Laura's too) I can't wait to use it more often next Spring/Summer. The Posh polish is very similar to Models Own's Nude but hey you can't ever have too much of that shade this Autumn/Winter.

Purely for price and the fact that I'm now an Ambassador, I will definitely be trying more Eyeko polishes in the future and look forward to the possibility of some new shades! At the moment they don't have a huge selection online so I don't think it'll be long before I own every single one :)

If you haven't tried Eyeko before or you're already a fan, add E12347 on any purchases over £10/$15/€10 at the check out to receive a free gift courtesy of moi! x

Dark Sparkle

Jumper: Missguided
Tights: New Look
Shoes: New Look
Ring: ASOS
Models Own 'Grace Green' Nail Polish

Sorry I look super moody in the third picture. I had to include that photo to show the tights ;) I bought them recently but haven't had the chance to wear them really. I've got to say that I'm loving New Look's tights range at the moment, and these I thought were a bargain at £3.99.
I also really wanted to show off my bargain £1 ring! The lovely Jazzabelle gave out a cracking ASOS discount code the other week, I only wish I'd got more with it! You may also recognise this ring from LLYMLRS recent post. :) After seeing that post I knew I wanted it then with the discount code, it was fate!

This week I've become an Eyeko Ambassador, so if you're buying anything worth £10/€12/$15 use my code E12347 to receive a free gift :)

P.S A little shout out to two of my friends blogs. Dottie and Being Little. Two great blogs by such lovely girls. Please take a look :) x

Creme Brulee

Jumper: Urban Outfitters
Chinos: Uniqlo
Platform Clogs: Dixi
Hat: River Island
Bag: Courtesy of Jazzpad!

Today's outfit post consists of a few recent buys, including these great chinos from Uniqlo. I've been on the search for some for a while and my boyfriend buys his from Uniqlo, so on our recent trip to London I just had to get some. (And they currently have heart throb Mr Bloom modeling for them ;))

My most extravagant buy recently would be these platform clogs from my favourite site Dixi. Not for the price but just for the fact that they are clogs, wooden and platforms! I'm not usually very daring especially with shoes. I was unsure at first, but for the £10 sale price I just couldn't resist. And they're super comfy and easy to walk in, which gives them the thumbs up from me!

Oh and how I could forget my recent win from Jazzpad! Thank you Claire, I love the bag <3
